Health experts has encouraged everyone to boost their immune system during home quarantine by staying active, getting some sun, and eating the right food.advertisement

A strong immune system is what we all need now because that will help prevent us from getting infected with the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19).

In a GMA Public Affairs Facebook post, Internist and Functional Health Physician Dr. Rolando Balburias said 70% of a human’s immune system is found in people’s stomach aka the “gut immune system.”

And so to strengthen the entire immune system, an intake of important micronutrients that will support the gut immune system is necessary.

If your gut immune system is strong it will support the remaining 30% — found in the lungs, mouth, throat, skin and urinary tract.
